How did the company get started?
When we started out with the company back in 2011 we were creating many themes for clients. We noticed early on that when their website grew in size, their need for better content management grew too. We did a lot of the same customizations to each site to try and improve its content management. In 2012 we decided to put those customizations in a plugin and make it freely available on wordpress.org. That was the start of Admin Columns.
What lessons were learned since the start of the company?
Our clients back in 2012 taught us the importance of good content management and taking feedback on our product to heart. Now we have a large user base that we learn from every day, and we will keep improving our product with features they suggest. Good support is something we learned that can make a big difference. We always try to go the extra mile in helping our customers.
How does WordPress benefit your company?
We are all about WordPress. Without it we wouldn’t be doing what we are doing now, and we could not have created our product. We love the community and the open source philosophy of WordPress. We attend many WordCamps that share the same passion of WordPress as us.
