What does a typical day at your office look like?
We have offices all over the world, in Austin, TX, Burlington, MA, Salt Lake City, UT, Tempe, AZ, and more. What happens in those offices every day varies from marketers producing ideas for videos and social media, to developers making our platform more efficient, to call centers helping thousands of our customers daily.
How did the company get started?
In 2003, Bluehost hosting services was founded by Matt Heaton and Danny Ashworth in Provo, Utah. Since our founding, Bluehost has continually innovated new ways to deliver on our mission: to empower people to fully harness the web. Since 2010, we’ve been fortunate enough to be part of the Endurance International Group’s family of brands. With their backing and support we’ve been able to accelerate our mission in every way.
How does WordPress benefit your company?
We believe in WordPress, and our partnership has allowed us to support it for over 10 years. We dedicate engineers on our development staff to full-time WordPress CORE development and our in-house team consists of dedicated WordPress experts to provide the best customer support whenever our WordPress customers need help. Our partnership with WordPress has helped to develop a close-knit community between the two brands, and we are fortunate to be able to support each other in our endeavors.
Do you have any tips for people who want to start their own WordPress business?
We have 3 tips for those who want to start their own WordPress business. The first would be to use the educational tools provided by Bluehost and WordPress to learn as much as you can before you begin and while you’re setting up your site. The second is to harness your creativity and allow it to show through the design aspects of your website. The third is to be confident and dedicated; you CAN make it happen if you believe in yourself.
What’s your favorite thing you are working on right now inside your company?
We are expanding more into the world of WordPress internationally and we can’t wait for the opportunity to connect in-person with more of our customers.
