Mental Health Awareness [EN]

The purpose of this workshop is to raise the awareness about mental health issues and its triggers. We want to equip the attendees with the knowledge and skills they need to proactively and effectively support a psychologically and healthy work environment. This 90 minutes workshop is dedicated to business owners, freelancers, employees and people without jobs equally.

  1. We will cover the following topics during the workshop:
    Introduction to mental health, mental health problems and how they relate to the workplace context followed by an opportunity to discuss the
    myths that surround mental health problems and attitudes toward mental health.
  2. Attendees will benefit from the expert and personal insight of the workshop facilitators who will share the story of their own mental health journey, from being the subject of stigma in the workplace and the broader community to now creating strategies to support mental health needs.
  3. Advice on how best to help an employee, colleague or mutual people who are experiencing difficulty with their mental health through information on relevant equality legislation, resources available, examples of reasonable accommodation, recommendations on responding to a crisis and just starting a conversation about mental health in the workplace.
  4.  Discussion on creating a culture that is open to and supportive of the mental health needs of an organization or community.
  5. As the closing, we want to do a short exercise to get relaxed stay grounded through a mental body scan.
