Shad is account manager at Savvii, where he combines his 10 years of sales experience and excellent communication skills to align customer challenges with the solutions Savvii is offering. In his role he has a specific focus on expanding Savvii’s business by finding and connecting with new customers. Also, he is developing sales processes to match the needs of customers in the digital world. Outside of Savvii he helps entrepreneurs increase their online presence. In the spare time that remains he loves to unwind with friends strike some yoga poses and go out on the weekends.

Marieke studied Sociology and Communication Sciences at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. She obtained her PhD in Social Sciences in January 2011. In 2013 Marieke started working at Yoast. She is the founder of Yoast academy, our online courses platform.
Marieke is now one of the partners at Yoast. Together with Joost, Michiel and Omar, she runs Yoast. Her main focus is on Academy and marketing.

Jono Alderson
Jono is a digital strategist, marketing technologist and full-stack developer with over a decade of experience in SEO, analytics, brand and campaign strategy, lead gen and eCRM, CRO and more. He’s worked with startups, agencies and international brands to fix websites, implement growth strategies, and win markets.
Jono recently joined Yoast from Distilled, where he was principal consultant. Previously, he was global head of digital and head of insight at SEO platform Linkdex, and head of SEO at award-winning agency twentysix.
Rowdy Rabouw
Rowdy Rabouw is a web developer with over 20 years’ experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. He’s been working as a freelancer since 2004 and has been employed by the Dutch insurance company Nationale-Nederlanden since 1992. Currently he is the Lead Developer on various JavaScript and NativeScript projects and is a Progress Developer Expert for NativeScript.

Van oorsprong ben ik milieuhygiëniste met een sterke biochemische achtergrond. Nu al sinds jaar en dag werkzaam op het gebied van de ‘functionele’ ICT: software trainer, maker van video-instructies, testen en ontwerp. Alles behalve programmeren, hoewel ik best wel eens wat tweak onder de motorkap. 😉 Sinds 2 jaar ligt mijn focus op het installeren van online leeromgevingen (LMS/webacademies) m.b.v. WordPress en begeleiding van klanten hierbij zowel live als m.b.v. video-instructies. Originally I am an environmental scientist with a strong background in biochemistry. For a long time past I’m operating in the field of “functional” ICT: software trainer, producer of video instructions, testing and design. Everything but programming, although I’ve found myself tweaking things at the backend. 😉 For 2 years now my focus lays in installing online learning systems (LMS/webacademies) using WordPress, and mentoring clients live as well as through video instructions.

Michaël heeft vele jaren ontwikkelervaring met Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Dynamics en Office. Zijn passie is het delen van kennis, zowel binnen als buiten de organisatie. Naast dat hij al jaren zijn eigen WordPress blog host m.b.v. Microsoft Azure, heeft hij ook voor klanten met grote WordPress sites onderzoek gedaan naar de verschillende mogelijkheden van het hosten van een WordPress site binnen Microsoft Azure.

Daarom combineert ze tegenwoordig het aanvoeren van een van Yoast’s developmentteams met het nadenken over hoe de SEO-tools van Yoast zo goed mogelijk kunnen werken voor zoveel mogelijk talen.
Saskia van Klaarbergen & Karijn Kats
Saskia begon 4 jaar geleden in haar eentje met familytravelblog KidsErOpUit.nl (100.000+ unieke bezoekers). Binnen enkele weken verschenen er de eerste ‘gastblogs’ en dat is in 4 jaar tijd uitgegroeid tot een vast team van 18 bloggers die zich langdurig aan het blog hebben verbonden. Saskia stuurt het team aan, brengt orde in de chaos en kakelt vrolijk mee in het online kippenhok.
Karijn is sinds 2016 blogger bij Kidseropuit. Ze schrijft over de uitjes en reizen die ze met haar gezin onderneemt.
Als eigenaar van tekstbureau de Taalstraat helpt ze ondernemers bij het (her)schrijven van SEO- en conversiegerichte webteksten.

Olaf bouwt websites voor zichzelf en zijn klanten sinds 1999. Zijn eerste WordPress website, Web Development Blog, werd in 2006 opgezet met WordPress versie 1.5. Via deze blog en enkele anderen, deelt Olaf regelmatig scripts en (WordPress) kennis. Daarnaast staan er in de WordPress repository momenteel 2 plugins op zijn naam. Zou je Olaf een developer noemen? Nee, zeker niet! Als eigenaar van finalwebsites adviseert hij klanten over alle facetten van het online ondernemen en levert hij niet alleen websites, maar ook diensten zoals zoekmachine optimalisatie, e-mailmarketing en webhosting.

Bridget Willard is a marketing consultant and educator with a passion to help small businesses. She began in construction, and worked in franchise development, nonprofits, and tech. She is known for her brand building for Riggins Construction and GiveWP. Stephan Csorba is opgegroeid met het web en heeft in de loop der jaren vele WordPress websites en custom plugins ontwikkeld. Sinds enkele jaren is hij eigenaar van Csorba Media en eigenaar van SORBI, die als gebroeder van Limburg mede de WordCamp dit jaar sponsert. Met zijn team haalt hij het uiterste uit WordPress en ontwikkeld internationaal websites en klanten portalen voor klanten zoals HITACHI uit Japan en enkele associations gevestigd in Brussel. Sinds 2 jaar is daar iOS en Android bijgekomen en gebruiken zij WordPress als management systeem voor onze iOS en Android apps.
Caroline Geven
Caroline leerde zichzelf HTML en CSS toen ze 12 was en Geocities nog steeds het einde was. Langzaamaan stapte ze over naar WordPress, waar ze begon met het maken van blogs, maar al snel websites maakte voor anderen.
Een paar jaar geleden kwam ze bij Yoast als junior web developer. Daar leerde ze de WordPresss community en de open source mentaliteit kennen. Op dit moment werkt ze als technisch applicatiebeheerder voor het plugin team bij Yoast, waar ze zich bezighoudt met quality assurance.

Birgit Olzem
Birgit Olzem, or Coach Birgit as her friends call her, is a certified life coach. Her passion is WordPress and mentorship that comes from putting into daily practice the knowledge one learns. She specializes in private tutoring and user training for WordPress and Social Media. She is a serious developer in both front and back-end development and has spoken at WordCamps about the REST API, WooCommerce, WordPress as an App Framework, and choosing WordPress as a CMS. Teaching beginners is her passion, though she is far from it herself. Those in the Make WordPress community know Birgit from Polyglots and Training, as well as volunteering at local and international WordCamps. Since May, 2018 Savvii, Dutch WordPress hosting company, snapped her up for the role of Community Manager (D/A/CH region).
